Authorization Object: X_COBLMOD
Account Assignment Block: New Field Inclusion
Category: Coding Block
Definition
The functions required for adding a new field to the SAP coding block
can now be performed using a single transaction in the system. This
transaction is protected by this authorization object.
Adding a new field to the coding block involves changing central
objects in the SAP system, and in particular database tables. Such
changes are extremely dangerous, and can lead to inconsistencies
throughout your system as well as to a loss of data.
Before calling up the transaction, you should make sure that all your
data has been properly saved. After the new field has been added, you
should revoke the authorization for the user in question, thus
preventing the transaction being started unintentionally in a
productive system.
